Team Sweden gained the best initial start by posting a scoreline of 7-1 following several bomb plants which Ukraine could not cope with. The latter team had close to no chance on taming the Swedes, and were overcome by a 12-3 score to half-time.
Swapping sides, fnatic star Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund played a major part in securing the first round, having set himself ready for an Ukrainian push on Bombsite A. This furthermore led to Sweden snatching the following three rounds, closing down de_inferno to a 16-3 scoreline.
Moving on to de_train, Sweden once again came off to a flying start, scoring five straight rounds, the last inspired by Niklas "niko" Johansson and Björn "threat" Pers. The seventh round was even more impressive, seeing Marcus "Delpan" Larsson displaying what he is capable of with the AWP, slicing down four Ukrainian contenders.
During the remainder of the first half, Ukraine managed to seal four rounds, but were still overwhelmed by Sweden's eleven. The match was ultimately concluded with Sweden scoring another five rounds, while the Ukrainians only managed two.
